A short time ago our communities decided to take pride in our culture, heritage, and ourselves. Traditional American names were no longer good enough. We needed a better way to express our cultural pride. Using our God-given creativity, we began to differentiate ourselves with unique and fabulous names.

 Shelia Benskin | Shelia Benskin currently lives outside of Dallas, Texas with her husband, teenage son and two dogs. She is the mother of two daughters, three sons and also has one granddaughter. Shelia is retired from AT&T and is currently a high school educator teaching hospitality and tourism at Dallas Independent School District, one of the nation's largest urban school districts.
